![]() Personally, I handle those quests the way I handle all quests - I judge the reward against the difficulty, and accept or refuse the task accordingly. Preparation helps, like with everything else. There is nothing broken with either of the two quests, and it is up to you whether you will take them or not. I don't do those ones because I haven't figured out how it works.I don't go around crying about it being "broken" however. Those little buggers move really quickly and scatter in different directions. The quest I can't manage and tend to avoid are the "round up the looters" ones. Even if you did nothing, there's a good chance you'd simply run into them by chance at some point during all that time. ![]() These quests also have a rather forgiving time limit to them. Tracking is very slow and unlikely to help you catch a fast moving group. Keep an eye out for bandits who have a different colour than the rest - that is your target. Their information (if any) will be old but as you close in, those reports will become more recent. Just about anyone you meet will likely have something to say. Farmers, and all lords are great for this. Otherwise, you simply need to ask people. A great way to do this one is to get a general idea of where they are and then hang around the nearest bandit camp. You are correct, if you don't act quickly the bandit group can travel across the map and back again. Tracking down bandits: Not only is this one not broken, it's easy. so such quests can be completed instantaneously just by initiating another dialogue immediately after accepting the quest) (Another solution is to carry soapstone, amber, wine and cheese, etc. This way, you can drop by to see her at your leisure and will have no problems completing the quests. If however, you already knew this, you would wait until you had built up some relations with her and had begun courting (ie she sends a messenger for you, you read her poetry, etc.). If you ask a woman you have never met for a quest and she sends you to fetch items for her, you will only be able to complete the quest on the off-chance you happen to bump into her at another feast. They are brought out for display during feasts and that is it. The problem is that ladies don't quite exist in the world. Gaining favour with the ladies: Don't ask this of women you aren't actively courting. Both work perfectly well if you know what you are doing. I hope they get fixed, as gaining favour with the ladies of the realm can be advantageous later on in politics.Īny chance we can at least get the quest for the ladies fixed? It only needs to make it so the quest-giver is accessible.that she loads somewhere so you can complete the quest. I see this quest as broken for two reasons, closely linked - the bandits magically turn into boats as soon as they touch water so tracking is useless, and they travel so far on the ocean there's nothing but luck that's going to have you encounter them.īoth these quests are more likely to hinder your progress than help it. The second quest type I encourage all to avoid is given by the mayors to track down bandits. ![]() Egil's likely to leave me if I fail another quest, which brings me to the other quest I failed because the system isn't working well. I've been waiting here in hopes Sacun will show up for over a week, and meanwhile my other quests are running out of time. Asfrid loads, along with one of the rebel lords and oddly a lord from the vanquished Tribe of Osraige. Right now I'm trying to deliver soapstone to Sacun in Dorestad - I've confirmed that she's here by asking multiple lords and ladies, but when I go to the Lord's Hall, it appears she doesn't have room to load. Sometimes this quest works, but what I've found is that the quest-giver often disappears completely. The first of these, and the most bugged, is the quest to gain favour from a lady by going out and finding luxury goods. The rewards are minimal, and best avoided. They will cost your troops morale, and some companions will give you trouble if you are unfortunate enough to accept these. Two quest types are basically unplayable in this game, and I urge everyone to avoid them unless they are fixed.
